Lindsay Lohan was born on July, 2, 1986 in New York City. Her mother, Dina Lohan, was a former Radio Music City Hall Rockette and later a Wall Street analyst. She now manages her daughter s career. Her father, Michael, worked for New York Investor s Traders, and he worked as an investment banker. She has three younger siblings Michael, Aliana, and Dakota. Lindsay Lohan started modeling for Ford at the tender age of three and began appearing in commercials including ones for Gap, Duncan Hines, and Jell-O Pudding. Lindsay Lohan began her acting career in 1996 at the age of ten when she was cast to play Alli Fowler on Another World. Later, she was chosen to play the role of twins in Disney s 1998 remake of the 1961 film, The Parent Trap. This established a relationship with Disney and Lindsay Lohan went on to appear in two Disney made-for-TV movies, Life-Size in 2000 and Get a Clue in 2002.

In 2001, Lindsay Lohan decided to take a break from her acting career.
