Lap DancingProducts Relating to 'Lap Dancing'

Starters guide to lap dancing. Lap dancing is now considered mainstream nowadays and a legitimate and well paid profession for numerous women. The stigma associated with lap dancing is evapourating and you might want to consider it as a profitable means of earning a living.

Who would consider lap dancing?

Lap dancing clubs are filled with women of all ages and from all manner of backgrounds:

  • students earning an extra few quid
  • mums who want to better provide financially for their kids
  • adventurous people looking for something different in their lives
  • ordinary folk who have been stuck in a dead end job and wanted a quick profitable way out

Am I good looking enough or too old?

Since lap dancing is based around sexual turn ons you generally need the following pre-requisites:

  • good body
  • good looks
  • aged up to 35

However, don't think you have to be stunning and have blonde hair and big boobs to do lap dancing. Men (and women) like all shapes and sizes and looks. Therefore I think the main pre-requisite is confidence and chat. A lot of men, especially business men, come to lap dancing clubs just for company and you may get paid to just chat.

How much could I earn?

This depends upon many factors such as the club's rates, location, size, your confidence, looks etc. However, based upon my experiences the club I worked in charged £10 ($20) per dance of which I got to keep £7 ($15). Some clubs also charge a floor fee, which is what you pay the club at the start of the evening for the opportunity to dance their. The flood fee I was charged was £30 or 3 dances. Again this will vary depending upon which lap dancing club you try.

My typical earnings ranged from £50 ($100) to £400 ($800), but on exceptional nights I brought home £1000 ($2000). This sort of money can be achieved through a 'Sit down' where the client(s) hire a VIP room in the lap dancing club for the entire evening.

I can't pole dance?

If you've plucked up the courage to give this a go then I would advise working out a 5 min dance routine before you go to the club to audition. Don't worry if you can't pole dance, not all the girls can. You just need to bend and grind and be flirty and fun. Half the time should be spent away from the client and half the time should be in close proximity.

What do I wear?

Most girls at lap dancing clubs wear specially made dresses that they bought from people who visit the clubs to sell their wears. You could probably get away with a sexy dress for the first few times until you have seen what the other girls wear.

Tip: make sure the dress is stretch and easy to get off over your head. Since you have to seductively get out of the dress you usually lift it over your head and then roll it down your legs to the floor and then step out of it.

You will also need some shoes. These are typically rasied plastic shoes with 6 inch heels. A lot of trendier shoe shops will stock them. Practice walking in them before he audition.

Do I have to pay taxes?

By law you probably will, therefore keep all your reciepts for things such as make up, clothes, shoes, beauty products etc. These are tax deductable. I would then recommend getting an accountant who can help you with this aspect of being self employed. Some girls just take the money and don't declare it, but that is your decision.

How do I get started?Ok, so you have the confidence, you've got your shoes and dress, you have worked out a routine now what. I would call the lap dancing club you have selected and ask when they do auditions. The audition comprises you dancing in front of the club owner and typically another lap dancer. It will usually last 5 minutes and they will give you an answer there and then.

Word of warning? You have to have a pretty thick skin because some guys can be horrible to you. Bouncers are on hand to deal with physical stuff, which never happened to me, but it's the verbal stuff that can hurt most. Be ready to get called all sorts of names, fat, ugly ..etc Don't take this persoanlly. it is just the small minded insecure males that do this. 50% of guys are actually quite nice.

I did this for a couple of years to get out of a dead end job. I did dancing in London, Birmingham dancing and Leeds dancing clubs. I earned some good money and gained a lot of confidence. I also got a good insight in to the myriad of jobs that people do since I have talked to 1000s of men (and women). I'm now in a job that I would never have thought or known about if I hadn't done lap dancing.

Good luck and happy dancing
