Christmas is a time to get together with family and friends and celebrate. Whatever you beliefs may be one thing is for sure. That is that we all love singing Christmas songs. These carols have been passed down through generations and there are some new ones too.

Some of the oldest Christmas songs are the Celtic and Scottish ones. Today there are hundreds of new Christmas songs being composed all the time. Funny songs like the ones from South Park and comedic renditions of older songs are becoming extremely popular due to the fact that many people do not follow the religious aspect of Christmas.

It is great to keep a selection of these songs, sing them every year and teach your children and their children the words.

I guess some of you might be thinking that singing songs is boring or "uncool", but the power behind them and the way the have brought, and will continue to bring people together, is quite amazing and at some point in your lives will really want join in.

The world has taken advantage of Christmas in every possible way selling any kind of trinket, book, or piece of red material just over Christmas. You can decide for yourselves whether this is right or wrong, make a list and even check it twice, but one cannot dispute the large amounts of money that can be made out of Christmas, including songs.
